The GMe logo shows an STM (Scanning Tunneling Microscopy) topograph of a shallow etched wire array with a period of 400 nanometers which has been fabricated in the cleanroom of the Center for Micro and Nano Structures (ZMNS) at the Vienna University of Technology for use in a far-infrared detector.
