GMe Forum 2003
The GMe Forum 2003 takes place on April 10 and 11, 2003 in the "Festsaal" and "Boeckl-Saal" of TU Vienna, Karlsplatz 13, 1040 Vienna.
The "GMe Forum" continues the tradition of the GMe seminars held every other year since 1977. This year's seminar will focus on the technologies and issues involved in the transistion from a micro to an nano technology.
Invited speakers from renowned research laboratories and companies present the current state of the art in micro- and nanoelectronics on Thursday and Friday morning. Several Austrian companies introduce their contributions towards a nano technology, i.e., the apparatus required for the preparation of electronic or mechanical components with dimensions in the sub-micrometer range.
The Austrian university groups supported by the GMe show the results of their work in oral presentations and a poster session on Friday.
In a podium discussion on Thursday evening, prominent representatives of industry and research will focus on the topic "Can Austria Keep Up Internationally in the Area of Nano-Technology?".
