GMe Forum 2013

GMe Forum 2013

The GMe Forum 2012 takes place on June 6 and 7, 2013 at the TU Vienna, Floragasse 7, 1040 Vienna.

The "GMe Forum" continues the tradition of the GMe seminars held regularly, mostly every other year, since 1977. The intention of the "GMe Forum" is to present application-oriented results of international industrial and academic research in the area of micro- and nanoelectronics and to indicate trends for future applications of research results. This year's seminar focuses on new developments in the areas of power electronics, optoelectronics, sensors, defect investigations and new materials and devices.

Invited speakers from renowned research and development institutions and companies present the international state of the art in a series of plenary lectures on Thursday, June 6, and in the morning of Friday, June 7, 2013. These presentations are complemented with talks and poster presentations of Austrian university institutes closely related to the GMe.

Admission to the GMe-Forum is free; a previous registration (before Friday, May 31, 2013) is requested, though!

The "GMe Forum" continues the tradition of the GMe seminars held every other year since 1977. The intention of the "GMe Forum" is to present application-oriented results of international industrial and academic research in the area of micro- and nanoelectronics and to indicate trends for future applications of research results. This year's seminar focused on new developments in the areas of optoelectronics, sensors, new materials and devices, and technology and reliability.

Nano-Photonics Meeting 2011

Nano-Photonics is a new research field combining several scientific areas from materials to optics. It holds promise for future developments in information technology, sensing, bio-medical and energy applications. This workshop is bringing together experts from all of the different areas to discuss different approaches for tackling the exciting goals.

GMe Forum 2010

GMe Forum 2010

The "GMe Forum" continues the tradition of the GMe seminars held every other year since 1977. The intention of the "GMe Forum" is to present application-oriented results of international industrial and academic research and to indicate trends for future applications of research results.

For the first time, the GMe Forum 2010 took place at the TU Vienna on April 7, 2010 as a joint session with the "Mikroelektroniktagung ME10". The GMe Forum 2010 was the first half-day of the ME10. Also for the first time, contributions to the GMe Forum 2010 were submitted to a peer review, following the same procedure as the other ME10 contributions. For details, please refer to the Call for Papers of the ME10.

GMe Workshop 2006

GMe Workshop 2006

The GMe Workshop 2006 takes place as part of the Vienna-Tec 2006 on Friday, October 13, 2006, at the Reed Messe Wien, Messeplatz 1, 1021 Vienna.

The "GMe Workshop 2006" is the 16th in a series of GMe seminars held every other year since 1977. At the GMe Workshop, the university institutes that receive financial support through the GMe present the results of their research in the fields of micro- and nanoelectronics. The focus of this year's seminar will be on optoelectronics, particularly in the infrared region, and on nanowires.

Two invited speakers from renowned research laboratories will present the current state of the art in the above focal areas. Selected speakers from the GMe supported university institutes will report on the current state of their research work in the areas of micro- and nanotechnology. In a poster session, the university groups will give a comprehensive overview over their current work.

Several Austrian companies introduce their contributions towards a nano technology, i.e., the apparatus or processes required for the preparation of electronic or mechanical components with dimensions in the sub-micrometer range.

The Austrian university groups supported by the GMe show the results of their work in oral presentations and a poster session on Friday.

In a podium discussion on Thursday evening, prominent representatives of industry and research will focus on the topic "Who supports technology in Austria?".

Several Austrian companies introduce their contributions towards a nano technology, i.e., the apparatus required for the preparation of electronic or mechanical components with dimensions in the sub-micrometer range.

In a podium discussion on Thursday evening, prominent representatives of industry and research will focus on the topic "Can Austria Keep Up Internationally in the Area of Nano-Technology?".
